Community Support Projects in St. Cloud
The Rotary Club of St. Cloud has completed and continues to do many projects to support the needs in our community.
Christmas Baskets: Christmas is made special for needy families in our community. The club provided over $5000 in food and presents to families in need with cooperation from Winn Dixie on Narcoossee Road and Walmart of St. Cloud.
At Halloween, the Rotary Club passes out candy to children in front of John's Electric along with the city's Halloween program.
Boy Scouts: The club provided a canoe to Boy Scout Troup 192 and continues to assist them with various needs.
Florida Rotary Camp: The club renovated the floor of the recreation room at the camp for disabled children.
Food Pantry: The club donates $2,000 to the Food Pantry each year. The club also built the new ramp at the Food Pantry building.
Benches: The club purchased and assembled benches for the new walking park at Dakota Avenue.
Rotary Scholarship recipients 2016-2017: Great work all, we look forward to seeing your futures blossom!!
A Gift for Teaching: The club donated school supplies to the Foundation for needy children in the Osceola School District.
Camp RYLA: The club sponsored five high school students to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Assembly weekend.
Community Project: The club paid for a senior citizen's septic pumping.
Community Project: The club builds (with assistance from other youth groups) handicap ramps for elderly who are in need.
Community Project: The club donated $1000 to support the American Legion's Wreath Across America where we laid wreaths at the tombstones at our local Veterans Cemetery.
Community Project: o The club donated over $1000 in school supplies to the City of St. Clouds School Supply drive
The club has also donated money to the following: A Place for Grace, St. Cloud Wrestling team, Partin Settlement PBS Program, Harmony H.S. Booster Club, Chandler's Legacy, Osceola Council on Aging Senior Santa fund, Osceola Christmas for Kids, St. Cloud Prep FFA, Squeeze All Stars, Osceola County YMCA, Camp Boggy Creek, Harmony H.S. TSA Project.
